It gives me great pleasure to write to you about the growth in the Yahoo! Research front in Bangalore. Last year, out of the 22 products that were released globally by Yahoo! , 18 were from Bangalore.

This goes to show that the product development arena is at its peak in Yahoo! and with that comes the Research Labs concentrating on Advanced Technologies , Research Engineering and Search.

We at Yahoo!, are looking for Research veterans who have the inclination to do Research and formulate solutions for cutting edge technologies.

The current priority is in the domain of Data mining , with Text mining in core. A good experience in data extraction and retrieval forms the crux of the Search research division. Search engine optimization and various forms of computing like distributed / Grid / parallel are also invited. Excellent opportunities in MACHINE LEARNING bring the Research arena alive. A good foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms will excel problem solving aptitude for this avenue. Experience in Clusters is definitely an advantage for work in such high-end technology.

Multimedia skills with video / image compresion, processing techniques are a very recognized avenue for Yahoo!

EDUCATION : Phd Fresher also can apply , provided they have worked in Machine Learning or related Fields. Phd + experience is BEST fit.

Masters Degrees would need minimum 3 yrs of experience for applying and work in related fields.
