1. Position Description:
Sr. Developer Relation Engineer / Developer Relation Engineer (DRE)

2. Job Requirement:

* Should have minimum of 6 Months exp in Java/J2EE
* Should have exposure to EJB, JSP, JDBC, Any application server,
* Exposure to clustering, Performance tuning, JMS, JTS would be added advantage.
* Look for candidates with a combination of at least, 3 of the above skills.
* Communication should be excellent for this candidate (kindly do not compromise here)
* Should be ready to ! work in Night shifts
* This is not a development project but it is high end technical solution project.

3. Required Skill Set:
Mandatory Skills: Core Java , EJB, JSP, JDBC

Job Description
Network Monitoring, Server Administration, AS/400 Server, ERP (SAP/Oracle)

Level of expertise

Network:

Excellent knowledge about monitoring of network infrastructure devices, IPS/IDS, IP addressing Scheme, Network topology via Concord Live Health. Maintain of intermapper, network documentation on & circuit list database. Process ANY IP Requests via the new IP Control Software. Monitor the Lotus NOTES infrastructure via Check availability and Net IQ via TNG Console.
Execute the Honey pot procedure to identify virus activity. Install Configure and maintenances of Routers.

Wintel Server:

Ability to provide solutions, troubleshooting, fine-tuning of various Operating Systems, backup, restoration,
Delete temp files, logs and other data to clear space, compress files on data volumes to free up space.
Installation and Configuring of Network Printers. Using TNG, react to predictive failures and utilization thresholds.
Monitor Anti-Virus definition files, SMS patch deployment process, upgrades and patch management for all desktops.

AS/400 Server

Configuring and managing OS/400 security & user account management iSeries servers.
Management of remote server access as required. Provide application software installations support. Perform system checks.
Monitor daily backups, Run audit journal backups & restore requests on all systems.
Troubleshoot and correct system problems (space, operating system failures, network problems, etc.)
Schedule/Remove Robot jobs and jobs from the IBM job scheduler.
Maintain spreadsheet of all full system save backup tapes. Identify and troubleshoot job failures.

ERP (SAP/Oracle)

Functional knowledge of SAP Basis, Oracle/SQL Server databases systems
Monitoring of general system performance, availability, maintain general health of the SAP system.
Implementation and maintenance of SAP backup & recovery processes. Add / Reorganize space to SAP tablespaces as needed and notified by an alert. Monitor the health of the SAP systems by checking a list of SAP transactions regularly. Monitor the ERP systems via TNG and react to alerts accordingly. The ERP systems are monitored by BMC Patrol at the UNIX, SAP and Oracle levels. Monitor all ERP systems including Development, Break/Fix, QA, Sandbox and Production system.
Provide OSS Accounts to SAP personnel when they need to access systems.
Backup
Install, Deploy and maintain standard job definitions, restore requests to servers using Veritas BackupExec.
TSM Backup Monitoring. Troubleshoot Data Guardian failures. Handle all TSM Restores for Notes, SQL, Web, Application and UNIX servers (Including SAP).

Printer
Active Directory Printer troubleshooting and installation, Updating print queue in jet direct administration / Canon NetSpot. Configure all new print queues in the Output Management System. Responsible for creating print queues on the file/print server and configuring options, drivers, etc. Using the SPAD transaction, configure all new SAP print queues. Troubleshoot printing problems, including SAPLPD and local printing. Troubleshoot SAP fax problems
Reassign the IP address using IP Control, and readdress the printer using HP JetAdmin in the Active Directory print .

Skill Sets
MCSE, CCNA, basic knowledge of ITIL practices, basic understating of TNG, BMC patrol, intermapper.
With knowledge of : Windows NT, 2000, 2003, XP, Red Hat Linux, DNS, SMTP Servers, Firewalls, Intrusion Detector, Implementations, configuration, troubleshooting & fine-tuning. IP addressing Scheme, TCP/IP, Network topology, Routers, Switches, Routing Protocols, Data communication concepts, Network Security, etc. Functional knowledge of SAP Basis, Oracle/SQL Server databases systems, Implementation and maintenance of SAP backup & recovery processes. Configure, manage, and monitor system level services in OS/400 level security.
